Do you need an Amazon Prime membership to shop the sale?
No, but having one can help you get more out of it. In past years, some of the deals were reserved exclusively for Prime members. A subscription also comes with such perks as free two-day shipping and faster delivery options.
What kind of deals can you expect?
The Amazon Big Spring Sale includes thousands of limited-time offers across a range of categories. We’re seeing discounts on electronics, fitness gear and other seasonal essentials. Popular items like headphones, TVs, tablets and home security systems are heavily discounted and, because the weather is warming up, there are also deals on grills, outdoor gear and backyard equipment.
Are other retailers running competing sales?
Yes. During last year’s event, several major retailers launched their own versions to compete with Amazon. Stores like Best Buy and Walmart are offering similar discounts, so it’s worth checking them out before you buy.
Should you wait for Prime Day instead?
Prime Day remains Amazon’s biggest shopping event, typically held in July and again around October in recent years. While those sales often have excellent deals, many products see comparable discounts during the Big Spring Sale as well.
