Google has officially confirmed that The Android Show will return for a second year, with the event scheduled to take place next week ahead of Google I/O 2026, which kicks off on May 19.
In a video shared on social media, Google announced that this year’s Android Show I/O Edition is set to take place on May 12. You’ll be able to watch the pre-recorded event on YouTube.

According to Google, the year 2026 is going to be one of the biggest years for Android yet. We’ll have to wait for the show to find out what exactly that means.
The event is likely to showcase upcoming Android 17 features, along with other consumer-focused updates. Google may also offer a glimpse at its rumored unified platform that merges ChromeOS and Android.
